Gin Collesi has a clean and strong taste, perfectly balanced and very graceful. The refreshing notes of citrus match with the dry notes of juniper berries, smoothed by the notes of cherries and roses and intensified by the notes of hop and walnut.
The trick in the secret recipe of Gin Collesi are the peculiar botanicals. It’s made unique by the secret dosage of the botanicals and the time spent infused in the neutral spirit. At the end, water from Monte Nerone, in the Marche, is added to the infusion. The liquid is then refrigerated at -15°C for at least 30 hours before being filtered and bottled. After the bottling the gin is left to rest in a dark room for at least four months.
History and curiosities
Collesi Distillery, founded by Giuseppe Collesi in 2000, is located in the heart of the Apennines in the Marche, and has been become a renowned Italian grappa producer. Their craft beers are also some of the finest in the country, winners of more than 75 medals. For the Collesi Distillery innovation never ends and in May 2016 they launched two new spirits: Collesi Vodka and Gin Collesi. All botanicals are grown in Collesi’s estates and their juniper berries are so exquisite that they’re also exported to the UK to make British gins.
